Nottingham Forest fans have been showing a lot of sympathy for Scott Parker after he was sacked by Bournemouth just four games into the season.
The decision comes just five days before the Cherries are due to host Forest in a hugely important Premier League clash. Both sides are aiming to avoid an instant return to the Championship after coming up together last season alongside champions Fulham.
Parker's dismissal comes in the wake of a record 9-0 defeat to Liverpool last weekend, but it's believed that owner Maxim Demin chose to cut ties following the manager's post-match comments. "We’ve got a decision to make as a club," Parker said. "Hopefully we can get some help in and support the current team."

Steve Cooper reacted to the news in his pre-match press conference ahead of Wednesday night's meeting with Man City. "It is always a disappointment to see a manager lose his job," he said. "I don't know too much about the ins and outs because you're obviously focused on yourself. I've just heard it now and haven't thought it through."
The news also received a huge reaction on our Facebook page ahead of Saturday's game. The vast majority of Forest supporters disagree with the decision, saying it was too rash - and hoping it won't lead to a new manager bounce this weekend, of course.
Peter Newman wrote that he felt "very sad" for Parker. "(It's) another demonstration of how fickle this game is. What he achieved was not easy and with so little backing - the fault is not all is - Shame on the owners for what they have done." He added: "Thankfully we have an owner that as invested and a manager with experience, knowledge and tactics."
"So fickle and only a few games into the season," concurred Mark Henn. "He got them promoted and were playing one of the best sides in Europe. Not sure how they think that will impact team and player morale. Hardly going to be positive is it. The board of the club should hang their heads in shame."
Martin Norton's verdict was even harsher. "As a club Bournemouth are punching above their weight," he said. "The guy got them promoted. What else is he supposed to do?"
"I don’t particularly like the guy but not sure what Bournemouth were expecting from him?" asked Joe Frost, while David Briggs pondered: "One wonders who Bournemouth could possibly attract who would do a better job than Parker."
Not everyone was in agreement, however. Joshua Rough pointed out that the 41-year-old "was sacked ultimately because of what he was saying after the games, not because of results - probably looking over at us and seeing how much (great) business we are doing and had to have a moan as Bournemouth aren’t doing the same."
Everyone can agree with Jonathan Shanahan, though, who said: "Hope they won't get a 'bounce' on Saturday."
