Scott McTominay has taken to social media to share the gruesome battle scars he obtained during Manchester United's hard-fought 4-2 victory over Leeds.
The two old foes reunited their rivalry in the Premier League on Sunday at a hostile Elland Road in testing conditions due to a heavy downpour at half-time.
In challenging circumstances, United came out on top, despite surviving a second-half scare as Leeds fought back from 2-0 down.
First half headers from Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes gave the Red Devils a comfortable two-goal advantage at the interval before two Leeds replies in the space of a minute sparked chaos.
First, a mishit Rodrigo cross sailed over a hapless David De Gea before Raphinha tapped in at the back post to cue bedlam at Elland Road.
Fred then restored United's lead, smashing home moments after coming on, before fellow substitute Anthony Elanga clinched a precious three points for Ralf Rangnick 's men in the closing stages.
The latest clash between the two rivals was a Premier League classic played out in demanding conditions as stormy weather took its toll on the playing surface.
However, United midfielder McTominay certainly wasn't perturbed by the challenges faced, putting in an all-action display which saw him involved in a number of heavy collisions.
Taking to social media after the match, the Scot posted a series of images from the game, including one of his scarred left ankle, accompanied by the caption: 'Leeds away - proper game.'
The 25-year-old's battling performance drew praise high praise from fellow midfielder Fernandes, who reiterated McTominay's worth to this United side.

"Fred and Scotty (McTominay) are two players who are really important for us in many games," the Portuguese playmaker told MUTV.
McTominay made his presence felt from the off and an early collision with Leeds defender Robin Koch saw the German subsequently replaced by Junior Firpo.
However, despite being lauded for his grit and determination, many feel McTominay was lucky to see out the full 90 minutes at Elland Road.
The midfielder went unpunished for his earlier coming together with Koch but did receive a yellow card with a little under 15 minutes left on the clock.
Moments later, the Scot could have been given his marching orders after he went in on substitute Firpo, but referee Paul Teirney took no action - a decision which incensed the Leeds camp.
Raphinha led the protestations from the home side and he ended up receiving a yellow card - one of nine in the game - instead.
The match saw the two rivals square off at Elland Road in front of fans for the first time in 18 years and it was United who claimed the bragging rights.
Not only that, but the crucial three points saw them establish a four-point cushion in the race for a top four Premier League finish, though West Ham, Arsenal, Tottenham and Wolves all remain in the hunt.
Leeds, on the other hand, find themselves down in 15th, only five points above the drop zone.
