Scott Hall dead: WWE Hall of Famer passes away as family turn off life support

WWE legend Scott Hall has passed away at the age of 63.

The icon was placed on life support following a complication with hip replacement surgery, in which a blood clot came loose.

Hall, also known by his popular wrestling name Razor Ramon, suffered three heart attacks as a result and his family made the decision to turn off the machine.

The news of Hall's passing was later confirmed by WWE, who paid tribute to the iconic superstar at the beginning of Monday night's Raw broadcast.

The news comes just a week after he was admitted to hospital for breaking his hip after suffering a fall.

One of Hall’s closest pals, former WWE star Kevin Nash, posted a chilling update before his death, seeming to confirm that the wrestling legend would not survive.

“Scott's on life support. Once his family is in place they will discontinue life support,” Nash penned on instagram.

“I'm going to lose the one person on this planet I've spent more of my life with than anyone else. My heart is broken and I'm so very f***ing sad.”

The pair were involved in one of the most shocking and controversial moments in wrestling history when they made the move from WWE to arch rivals WCW during the Monday night Wars in the mid/late 1990s.

They won the world tag team titles together six times in the now defunct wrestling corporation and were part of the NWO, one of wrestling’s most popular and influential factions.

Hall and Nash were also members of the famous group ‘The Clique’ along with Triple H and Shawn Michaels and they were almost inseparable during their careers.

“My heart is broken and I'm so very f****g sad. I love Scott with all my heart but now I have to prepare my life without him in the present,” Nash said.

“I've been blessed to have a friend that took me at face value and I him. When we jumped to WCW we didn't care who liked or hated us.

“We had each other and with the smooth Barry Bloom we changed wrestling both in content and pay for those......alot that disliked us. We were the "Outsiders " but we had each other.”

“As we prepare for life without him just remember there goes a great guy you ain't going to see another one like him again.

“See Ya down the road Scott. I couldn't love a human being any more than I do you.”

Hall was one of the most charismatic wrestlers in the history of wrestling - his 'bad guy' persona, as well as his natural charm and prowess in the ring, captured the hearts and minds of many.

He was a four-time intercontinental champion and contested a ladder match at WrestleMania 10 in 1994 with Shawn Michaels, which he won.

The match was sensational and was voted as the Match of the Year for 1994 by readers of Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine.

It was also the first WWF match to receive a five star rating from sports journalist Dave Meltzer in his Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a singles competitor in 2014, and again as a member of the nWo in 2020.
