Scott Disick will reportedly return to The Kardashians for its third season on Disney+ after he was said to have been enticed back into the fold by indomitable momager Kris Jenner.
It has been reported the dad-of-three clinched a ‘massive contract’ following months of doubt over whether the quick-witted fan favourite would continue to appear on the reality show, following his split with Kourtney Kardashian.
Scott rose to fame on the famous family’s first show on E! – Keeping up with the Kardashians – and joined them for the move over to Hulu last year.
However, his scenes became increasingly truncated across the first two seasons, as Kourtney’s relationship with Travis Barker came to the forefront.
Yet it has now been reported that the 39-year-old will feature in 'several episodes' of the upcoming season.
Although a TV insider has also told the MailOnline that the infamous bad boy has made it clear to producers that he cannot be portrayed as 'the villain' of the piece in his former flame Kourtney’s storyline with her new husband – as was the case in the first series.
A source told the publication that Scott had been filming for the show last week after signing the new contract, despite initially being ‘against’ returning.
The insider said: “He felt that he owed it to his fans and knew that they wanted to see him back on the show again, at least for one more season.”
Scott, who shares children Mason, 13, Penelope, 10, and Reign, eight with ex Kourtney, was a major source of light relief amidst the drama of the Kardashian family’s E! show, which ran for 20 seasons from 2007 until 2021.
Clips of the star poking fun at Kourtney and her sister’s dramatics on the original show continue to go viral on social media and are often among fans’ favourites moments from Keeping up with the Kardashains.
However, in the most recent series of the comparatively highly produced Hulu show The Kardashians, Scott only featured in one episode, sparking speculation over whether he had quit the show.
Kylie Jenner recently shared behind-the-scenes footage of her filming a confessional for the third season of her family’s show, confirming that production is well underway.
The second season ended on a relatively muted note, considering the show completely skipped over Kourtney’s nuptials, instead documenting the build-up to the big day.
There is yet to be an official release date for season 3 of The Kardashians.
