Scott Brown has had a taste of the medicine he dished out for years in his three meetings against former club Celtic this season.
The Aberdeen captain has been on the losing side in all three clashes with Ange Postecoglou’s men this season.
And each time it’s been by the odd goal with the Pittodrie side coming off second best in closely contested encounters.
That has made it so much harder to take and none more so than in Wednesday night’s thriller in the north east.
Brown might have spent 14 trophy-laden years at Parkhead, cementing his place as one of the club’s legendary captains.
But as a midfield warrior and fierce competitor there is little chance of him going easy against the Hoops.
He was in the thick of the action in the dramatic 3-2 loss as he came up against many with whom he had shared a dressing room.
Arms outstretched in one photo in front of Daizen Maeda, the combative midfielder even looked like he was doing his famous ‘Broonie’ celebration.
However, the 36-year-old had little to cheer about at the end and vented his fury along with the rest of the home side at referee Willie Collum over some of the decisions.
But his old team-mates were quick to console him a Greg Taylor and Tom Rogic sandwiched the Dons skipper with James Forrest waiting in the wings to comfort his old skipper.
