Scott Arfield says the Ibrox crowd could play a considerable part in Rangers' Europa League tie with Athletic Club tomorrow evening.
The Spaniards are in Glasgow for the quarter-final first leg.
Ibrox has played host to countless famous European nights over the years, and Arfield, who played in the blue of Rangers for five years, reckons the crowd could have a significant role on Thursday.

Barry Ferguson claims to have 'got to the bottom' of Rangers' form after meeting
He said [Record]: "We know the Rangers fans will turn up and bring the atmosphere. There might be frustration at the home form in the Premiership, but I’ve got no doubt they will park for the Europa League.
"It will be an intense atmosphere and although Athletico Bilbao will be used to big atmospheres, they might only experience it two or three times a season and it will be another level again at Ibrox.
"The crowd can play their part – and we’ve seen it over the years. It can inspire the home side and intimate the opposition. I’ve seen teams spooked by it over the years.
"But it’s also true the players can do their bit to help the crowd. The Rangers side can’t just rely on the fans getting them going. They need to give the supporters something to cheer about too.
"It’s been a tough season at times and they deserve to get a performance that’s worthy of their support. It has to be reciprocated on and off the pitch."
Rangers have lost their last five home matches by a combined scoreline of 9-1.
Ferguson knows he must get a first Ibrox win on the board as interim boss to ensure his team stand a chance of progressing to the semi-finals of the Europa League.
