A Scots woman believes she has captured footage of a UFO hovering above the nation’s capital.
Melanie Gorrian was walking to the shops with her sister on Boxing Day when she spotted a strange light in the sky.
Melanie said the mysterious object stayed in front of them on Stevenson Drive in Edinburgh's Saughton area for six minutes.
She was able to take a video of the encounter which showed a small light hovering in the distance.
Melanie told Edinburgh Live: “I was walking to the shops and spotted the UFO.
“We managed to spot it at 9.36pm on Monday December 26 and were able to film it from Stevenson Drive.
“It stayed in the sky until like 9.42pm - it was so cool to see a UFO.
“I think the UFO was coming to visit us.”
