A community campaign is ongoing to raise enough funds to bring Christmas lights to a Stirling village for the first time.
Villagers in Fallin are hoping to raise up to £13,000 to bring festive cheer to the village this winter. The sum would go towards the purchase of decorative Christmas lights, as well as the associated running costs.
The fundraising bid is a joint effort between charity Fallin Community Voice and Polmaise Community Council.
If successful, the effort would see the installation of Christmas lights in the main street in the village.
An online fundraiser has been set up and a number of fundraising events scheduled.
Among the events was a prize bingo event held a Fallin Miners Welfare at the weekend, which raised over £2,000.
Additionally, moves to allow residents to sponsor a light and dedicated it to a loved one has also been launched.
Another bingo session has been arranged at the Miners Welfare at 7pm on Friday, September 16.

The organisers are also hosting a car boot sale at the Alpha Centre in Lamont Crescent on Saturday, September 10, between 8.30am and 11.30am. To book a pitch, email Polmaisecc@gmail.com.
More than £8,000 has already been raised for the cause, with Fallin Community Voice and Polmaise Community Council hoping to secure the remainder of the balance by the end of October.
Fallin Community Voice was granted charitable status earlier this year. Treasurer Michelle Robertson has been one of a band of individuals undertaking the fundraising mission.
She said: “We’ve never had any Christmas lights in the village before so it would be brilliant to be able to do something this year.”
