Scots TikTok star has Rangers fans in stitches wearing Celtic mankini at Ibrox

A TikTok star had Rangers fans in stitches - by turning up at Ibrox dressed in a Celtic mankini on derby day.

David McCallum, aka Ravie Davie donned the green and white spandex wrestling outfit yesterday, ahead of his side's top of the table Scottish Premiership clash. The 28-year-old - who has more than 113,000 followers on his raviedaviefreshprince TikTok account - headed to the Govan ground to interview fans for a video for another channel.

And he revealed that his stunt was well received by a number of the Gers faithful, ahead of the 2-2 draw with their fiercest rivals. In a video on his own channel, he revealed he and a pal were planning to do some filming and joked about Ange Postecoglou's side's nine-point league lead over the Light Blues.

He said: "What's happening troops? It's Old Firm Monday. It's freezing. Minus nine, innit, in Glasgow today? Me and the bold George are getting ready to go and film some stuff.

"We've got our outfits of choice on. That's what's happening, troops." In another video, posted outside Ibrox, he said: "What's happening, troops? We're up at Ibrox Stadium and we are filming with Caledonian Domain. We're going to get some more footage."

Speaking about the reception he received, he said: "Got a lot more respect than I expected. A lot of people playing right up for the banter and that. Everybody who interacted with me were legends. I enjoyed myself and definitely made a lot of people laugh. I knew what i was getting myself into.

"The more people were sound with me the more comfortable I got and it went form 0 to 100 quick." Several Rangers fans posted positive comments on his videos, congratulating him for doing it and saying how much they enjoyed it.

He said: "It was perfectly fine and shows the rivalry isn't as bad theses days as made out to be. Most fans are just out to enjoy football."

In another video, he revealed that his exploits, which were based on American Instragram show Sidetalk, had been well received by fans. But he said it wasn't all plain sailing - and that one fan had thrown a cone at his head. He explained: "I went and filmed a bit of content.

"We were going up and asking questions about the Old Firm and stuff like that and obviously having a laugh. A bit like that New York Sidetalk kinda thing. It was for this guy's channel. At one point, George and the camera guy went away and started filming some stuff and it started getting a wee bit tense.

"People started getting raging - someone flung a cone at me." He said the police asked him to move for his own safety and that he did so. Earlier this year we revealed his dream came true when he took to the ring to wrestle alongside his hero. He met grappling star Grado at a show a few years ago, while he was working as a welder.

David, of Glasgow, told Grado that one day they would be tag team partners, and took up the sport as a hobby the following day. He worked his way up the ranks, while turning his back on his welding career, wrestling at Glasgow’s Barrowlands Ballroom, the OVO Hydro, O2 ABC and O2 Academy, and in England, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
