Scottish singer Nathan Evans has finally returned to social media following the birth of his and wife Holly's son, who arrived into the world earlier this week. Nathan gave an update to his fans on how mother and baby are doing after he faced a race against time to get back to Scotland from Germany.
The TikTok star, 28, previously explained the hectic rush he had to get back from Berlin to the UK as his wife went into labour as he got a phone call after her waters broke before her due date. Holly gave birth on Tuesday morning.
"The plan was to shoot for two days and then head home on Monday night to spend the rest of Holly’s pregnancy with her at home getting everything ready for the little man coming, but sometimes life throws you a little curve ball to keep you on your toes," he wrote.
The sea shanty singer, from Lanarkshire, has been quiet all week after his dramatic update to his 209k Instagram followers. Yesterday (Thursday) he opened up that the birth had not gone smoothly, and that he is now taking a break to focus on "getting his family unit back together."
Nathan explained Holly's cesarian section was a "little more complicated than normal" but assured everyone that both Holly and their new bundle of joy were doing well.
"At the moment the little man is spending some time in the nursery being looked after by the amazing medical staff at the hospital," he added.
"There were a few complications that we are slowly working our way through but he is an absolute champion and our main focus now is for him to keep his milk down and get him home safely with mum and dad."
The 28-year-old announced the lovely news that the couple were expecting in December last year during the festive period in an adorable snap, as they sported matching Christmas pyjamas.
The musician and his wife couldn't leave their dog out of the announcement post too, writing: "Swipe right for a doggo disaster," including snaps of their adorable Labrador.
Continuing in his update, Nathan poured out his heartfelt thank you for all the support he has had from fans, family and friends as he gushed over how "grateful" the couple was and how lucky he is to be surrounded by such a good network.
He added that his fans might notice him being quiet on his socials recently, adding: "Sorry if I'm a bit more quiet than usual in the upcoming days/weeks but I am going to be focusing on getting our little unit back to it's strongers.
"Love you all x, Nathan."
