Scots teen's car left crumpled after spinning off road at dangerous corner

A teenager's car was left crumpled after a crash in Fife when it spun off the road at a tricky corner this morning.

Police raced to the incident at 9.45am today after the 17-year-old driver failed to negotiate the bend at on the A911 at Auchmuir Bridge. Images from the scene show the car spun sideways, with debris from the bonnet and a wheel hubcap scattered across the road.

Officers say there were no injuries during the single-vehicle smash. The young motorist was given advice by cops on the scene.

A statement from local policing officers reads: "A lucky escape for this 17-year-old driver today at Auchmuir Bridge when she failed to negotiate a bend correctly. Fife Road Police urge all drivers, especially the new and inexperienced ones, to drive to the road conditions.

"Thankfully no injuries on this occasion and advice given."

A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Around 9.45am on Wednesday, 30 November, 2022, police were called to the A911 at Auchmuir Bridge, following a report of a one-vehicle crash.

"The scene was handed over to the local authority for traffic management, due to damage to a power line.”
