A teenager has been charged in connection with an alleged assault on a pensioner.
The 74-year-old was allegedly assaulted on Torbex Road, Cumbernauld on Tuesday, July 26.
Police Scotland launched a probe into the alleged incident and have confirmed that a 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection.
He will appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court at a later date.
Inspector Graeme McLaughlin said: “We are aware of concerns of anti-social behaviour and disorder in Cumbernauld recently and I would like to reassure the public that we have increased patrols.
"I would encourage members of the public to approach officers with any concerns you may have or contact Police Scotland on 101.”
