A Scots school is to swap shirts and ties for hoodies and t-shirts in a new uniform shakeup.
Queen Anne High School in Dunfermline say the new dress code they are adopting will provide "greater choice" for young people.
Students can choose to sport a Queen Anne charcoal grey hoodie, which will be gifted to all pupils, with a plain black, white or grey t-shirt underneath from Monday, May 30.
The traditional white shirt and tie combo can be still worn if students wish to do so.
Sport trousers are also acceptable but they must be black along with trainers.
The uniform change has been made in response to to feedback from families, young people and staff.
Headteacher Ruth McFarlane said she hoped the move would also "reduce barriers to attendance, engagement in learning and support a more inclusive ethos".
On days when pupils have PE lessons they can chose to wear their trainers, shorts, t-shirt and hoodie to prevent the need to change at school.
With Ms McFarlane adding: "There are an increasing variety of reasons why a young person may not wish to bring a separate PE kit and get changed in the changing facilities for PE.
"All items of school clothing should maintain the dignity of the young person and not place them at risk. Where school is regarded as inappropriate, the Guidance PT or Year Head will contact parents/carers to discuss."
