Mountain rescue teams battled extreme weather conditions to airlift two hillwalkers to safety on Tuesday night.
Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team attended Tower Ridge on Ben Nevis after the climbers became trapped on the eastern traverse amid heavy snow at roughly 6.35pm.
Search and rescue helicopter R151 was scrambled and able to locate the pair, but initially unable to reach them.
But after "exceptional flying" from the pilot, two members of the rescue team were able to be lowered down onto the ridge to assist the hikers at around 1.30am.
A video of the dramatic rescue showed the two casualties being successfully airlifted from the mountainside to safety.
After taking the climbers to safety, the helicopter crew returned to the ridge to collect the summit team, with everyone safely back to base by 2.30am.
Sharing pictures and footage from the rescue on social media, Lochaber MRT wrote: "Another late finish last night saw the team with assistance from R151 get a couple of climbers out of a bit of a pickle.
"They had become cragfast at the Eastern Traverse on Tower Ridge. With the helicopter initially unable to snatch them off, LMRT lowered two members down using the big summit rope to secure them.
"Then with some exceptional flying R151 managed to extract the two casualties and team member. Then retuning to extract the summit team which was very much appreciated thus turning an all nighter into a late night…..all back safely by 2.30am."
