Scots schoolgirl, 15, reported missing to police found safe and well after search

Scots police are appealing for help to trace a missing 15-year-old Asian girl.

North East cops say Anya Murphy, 15, was last seen in Peterhead at around 8:20am this morning, June 17.

Officers revealed that Anya was spotted at the Victoria Park area in Peterhead.

She is described as an Asian female, small and is approximately 4ft 3in tall.

Anya was last seen wearing a black jacket, black trousers and white trainers.

Inspector Keith Greig, of Banchory Police Station, said they are becoming 'increasingly worried' and asked anyone with information to come forward.

He said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Anya’s welfare.

“I would encourage anyone with any information regarding Anya’s whereabouts, or who has recently seen Anya to contact police.

“Likewise, I would appeal directly to Anya, if you see this message Anya, then please contact the police or approach any police officer and identify yourself so we can ensure that you are safe and well.

“Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0718 of 17 June.”
