Scots pensioner Edna Clayton appeared on Good Morning Britain as she celebrated her 101st birthday - and was chuffed to receive a card featuring herself with host Ben Shepherd and the rest of the team.
Edna had spent her milestone 100th birthday without her son or a letter from the Queen due to last year's Covid restrictions.
The staff at Hector House Care Home, where the Glasgow OAP is a resident, had asked kind-hearted members of the public to send her cards this year and she was inundated with loads of celebratory messages.
And delighted Edna's big moment today was made even more special when she was presented with the card by the TV team.
Edna, who was seated upon a customised throne, admitted she couldn't see very well but she was having a rare time.
Her segment gave viewers some amusement as she commented that the presenter who comforted her had cold hands.
Edna, who received a visit from Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar today, also got a giant card from George Bowie and the team at Radio Clyde, was invited on to GMB this morning.
She said: 'It's beautiful, so it is."
And she gave the picture of Ben a cheeky wee kiss.
One fan said later: "Aww bless her. So lovely that the care home staff have made such a fuss of her. Happy Birthday Edna!"
Another added: "You look amazing Edna !! Happy 101 xxxxxxxx"
Edna has dedicated her life to her son James, 58, who is in supported accommodation as he has Down’s Syndrome.
After receiving around a whopping 30,000 cards from strangers ahead of her big day she will now go on a party bus later today with James and pals from the care home.
