A physics teacher who resigned after her secret career as an OnlyFans model was discovered has revealed that she will keep her hand in the education field as a private tutor. Kirsty Buchan will flip her teaching role into the sideline as she puts her energy into her main venture as a nude star on the adult entertainment website.
Miss Buchan also revealed that she is heading towards 1,000 followers in just five days - bringing in £8,100 in subscriptions, which is more than four times her take-home pay as a teacher at Bannerman High in Glasgow’s Baillieston. The 33-year-old, who resigned as council bosses launched disciplinary proceedings against her, previously claimed that management were failing to protect their staff from violent pupils at the ‘war zone school’.
But the publicity, both good and bad, has sparked a massive surge in the number of subscribers on her site, providing a bumper pay packet for the single mum-of-one. She said: “I've had amazing support from so many people, including pupils I have tutored.
"One of them sent me a lovely message saying he would be standing by me and I'll be delighted to keep that going with physics as a sideline to the other job but I'm very grateful that I'm still wanted."
Miss Buchan's subscriptions have piled up since the Daily Record revealed her story earlier this week. She said: "I woke up on Thursday to 200 subscribers and it has quickly gone up to almost 800 within a day, so I hope it keeps going.
"I'm getting messages from people in America, telling me to stick to my guns. It's all happened very fast and it has been stressful but I'm focusing on the positives."
The Record told yesterday how scores of supportive messages had been sent to the teacher, whose conduct angered some parents, prompting them to complain to Glasgow City Council. She said she was pushed over the edge after education bosses refused to pay her wages for when she was looking after her son, who was seriously ill.
The school had also been the scene of strikes by teachers with the NASUWT union, who claim they are not being given support in the wake of violence and intimidation by a group of pupils.
Three days of action took place this week with a further eight days of strikes planned throughout December. The union claims educators have been 'shoved and threatened' and someone 'brandished' a screwdriver on the premises.
Kirsty also told how she has no regrets over the decision to take her clothes off, stating: “It’s my body, my choice. If they’ve got a problem it’s because they can’t do it themselves. Honestly, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
“You don’t have to look but thanks for the publicity.”
A Glasgow City Council spokesperson added: “It is very telling that this person has tried to deflect from this situation by taking advantage of current news stories about the school which have no relation to the disciplinary proceedings.”
