A money-saving Scots mum-of-two has shared how she manages to feed her entire family with a budget food shopping haul from Aldi.
Eilidh Wells, from Glasgow, recently took to social media to share how, like many families, she has been trying to save on her groceries during the cost of living crisis.
With grocery price levels continuing to accelerate to record-high's this year, many households have been switching up their shopping habits in a bid to save some pennies. This has led to an increase in popularity for Aldi, as it has recently replaced Morrisons as the fourth largest UK supermarket chain.
And the budget grocery giant continues to be a great place for families who are looking to get in their groceries while sticking to a tight budget, as 33-year-old Eilidh has managed to feed her family of four for under £25.
The money-conscious mum, who has two young boys Oliver, five, and Marcus, three, recently took to Instagram to share her weekly food haul which creates six family meals - including four dinners, two lunches and leftovers - all for just £24.74.
Sharing her perfect meal plan with her followers, the savvy mum explained how other families can stretch a thin budget with a bit of meal planning and the great prices they can find at the budget supermarket chain.
Included on her list of meals were some family favourites, including spaghetti Bolognese, leek and potato soup and Chinese chicken stir-fry - with some portions costing as little as just 52p.
Speaking of her incredible budget food haul, Eilidh said: "The October break can be a bit of a stress for families when you’re trying to stretch your budget to include breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks.
"I made the most of this shopping by meal planning ahead of time and buying some ingredients I could use across several meals. Having last nights leftovers for lunch always help too."
