Scots man who flew 5,000 miles for first date in Chicago attends wedding with Tinder match

A man who travelled 5,000 miles from Scotland to Chicago for a first date with a Tinder match has been enjoying his time abroad sightseeing wearing a Celtic top and attending a wedding.

Patrick Campbell, 32, flew from Scotland to the windy city on Monday after he matched with American Bridget Kelly on Tinde r.

We previously told how the pair immediately hit it off and video called for three weeks before Bridget invited Patrick to a wedding as her date.

Patrick travelled to Bridget's hometown and the pair filmed the moment they finally met at the airport for the first time.

He spent his second day in Chicago wandering around the city wearing a Celtic top as Bridget showed him the sights on a 'rainy but perfect' day.

And loved up Patrick attended a wedding as Bridget's first date - with the American showing off her new Scots man as the Proclaimers 500 miles played in the background.

The video, posted on TikTok, captured the pair posing outside the venue before enjoying some food.

In a more intimate clip, Patrick and Bridget can be seen on the dance floor passionately singing to each other as they captured their date on a series of polaroid photos.

Sharing the strip of pictures, the loved-up couple can be seen smiling, hugging and kissing.

Bridget's TikTok updates have been viewed over 66,000 times as her latest wedding clip has been watched by 13,000.

Thousands of social media users are hoping the romance will last after becoming 'invested' in the relationship.

Hundreds flocked to the comments section to send their well wishes to the pair.

One user said: "This is the best thing on Tik Tok."

Another added: "A Celtic man too. Wishing you both lots of luck, can't wait to see your first trip to Scotland."

And one man wrote: "This is awesome. As a Scotsman I am happy for both of you. Best of luck to both.

"It is clear you enjoy each other's company."

Some are now even considering trying out the dating app feature which allows you to match with people thousands of miles away.

One woman wrote: "Sooo tinder passport? Checking that out."

While another added: "I'd be lying if I told you I didn't re-download Tinder after watching this story and made sure I had the passport.

"You guys look SO cute."

The new couple met after Bridget used the feature Tinder Passport which allows you to search by city or drop a pin on the map and begin matching with people in a specific place worldwide.
