Scots Johnny Depp fans think he could be joining Jeff Beck on stage in Glasgow

Jeff Beck fans in Scotland are wondering if Johnny Depp could be set for an appearance in Glasgow.

The actor stunned the crowds in Sheffield on Sunday night and again last night in London when he joined the legendary rocker live on stage for a number of songs.

A video shared online shows the Albert Hall crowd going wild for the Hollywood star on Monday night, and he reportedly received a standing ovation.

Jeff is scheduled to play Glasgow on Friday, June 3 which has prompted those with tickets to speculate on social media over whether they should expect another famous face.

One fan said on Twitter: "Okay that’s Johnny Depp appeared at two Jeff Beck gigs this week…will he appear in Glasgow on Friday?

"I have Queen that night or I’d have tried to get tickets."

Another said: "Anyone know if #JohnnyDepp will be playing in Glasgow with @jeffbeckmusic on Friday?"

The pals have been playing a number of hits together, including their cover of the John Lennon song 'Isolation', which they released in 2020.

According to Beck's official website, Johnny and Jeff are "musical soulmates", and "have been working behind-the-scenes for the past several years on new music."

This appearance was even mentioned by court reporter Chanley Shá Painter, as they tweeted that Depp had "scheduled work obligations" coming up, which could be the Jeff Beck shows.

In the tweet, Chanley wrote: "A source close to #JohnnyDepp tells me - “Mr. Depp is in the United Kingdom, as he was a few weeks ago, to adhere to his previously scheduled work obligations. AKA @jeffbeckmusic tour."

Fans have been expressing their excitement and surprise to see the actor on British soil amid his ongoing defamation lawsuit in the United States.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star has made headlines around the world in recent weeks due to his widely-televised trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.

Johnny is suing his former partner over a 2018 article she wrote about being the victim of domestic abuse.

While the article in the Washington Post did not mention Johnny by name, his lawyers say it falsely implies he was physically and sexually abusive.

The six-week trial has seen huge levels of fan attention online and in person.

Videos shared online have shown crowds of people outside the courtroom cheering for Johnny, while others have offered him their unwavering support online.

Some have criticised the fanfare around the trial, which they believe doesn't reflect the serious nature of the claims being discussed in court, and the way his supports have mocked Amber and the alleged excuse she experienced.

Johnny has received numerous messages of love and support following his appearance on stage in London, with one fan tweeting: "So, so heartwarming to witness Johnny Depp with Jeff Beck live at Royal Albert Hall earlier. If he can head for London for a well-deserved party after going up against his own 'you know who', no better place to be appreciated, eh? Party time indeed Enjoy."

Another tweeted: "Hello Johnny Depp! Welcome to London! great artist and back to doing what he loves . So happy for him."

A third similarly wrote: "So happy to see you enjoying yourself Johnny after all that you've been through."

Johnny flew to the UK after the closing arguments in his case against Amber were delivered on Friday.

The jury is now deliberating on the outcome, with the verdict thought to be expected as soon as Tuesday by some experts .

It is thought that both Johnny and Amber will not be in court when the verdict is announced.
