Scots gran's tears as Ant and Dec reunite her with daughter she hasn't seen for two years live on TV

A Scots gran got the shock of her life after telly giants Ant and Dec reunited her with a daughter she hadn't seen for two years - and helped her meet her grandson for the first time.

Laura Myles, from Edinburgh, briefly became the star of Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway when the Geordie duo brought her on stage for one of their trademark interrogations.

The pair revealed to millions tuning in on Saturday that Laura had accidentally visited a nudist beach while on holiday - and decided to go native in a bid to fit in with the locals.

However, the surprises kept coming for the Edinburgh mum as she took part The Masked Humdinger, a rejigged version of hit ITV show The Masked Singer packed with embarrassing secrets about her life.

Laura's mum Elsie and daughter Sarah appeared disguised as show favourites Bagpipes and Viking.

The gran was given help from celebrity panellists Craig Revel Horwood, Paloma Faith and Fleur East to guess their identities.

After she was unmasked, Elsie revealed that Laura had scoffed half a box of fancy chocolates meant for her Christmas.

And Sarah disclosed that she and her siblings were told to pretend they were under 12 despite being teenagers - so Laura could take advantage of a 'kids eat free' offer at a restaurant.

But it wasn't until Bush Baby was unmasked on stage that Sarah was reduced to tears - as the fuzzy creature was revealed to be daughter Holly, who lives in Canada and hasn't seen her mum in over two years.

The moment provoked a strong reaction on social media (ITV)

Holly had a humdinger of her own - confessing she had been caught graffiting the school toilets as a child and had forged her mum's signature to avoid getting into trouble.

And she also had one last surprise for the shocked Edinburgh woman - grandsons Max, who she has met once, and Logan, who she has never seen in person, had travelled across with their mum to see her.

The emotive reunion reduced Laura to tears live on TV as she rushed to hug and kiss her grandchildren.

It also provoked a gushing reaction on social media as the moment went out on STV.

One viewer wrote on Twitter : "Oh my gosh, what an incredible thing @antanddec did for that family, tears all around in #SaturdayNightTakeaway that’s better than a get away ticket any day."

Another added: "Tears at 16 minutes this week, I wonder if there will ever be a week where I don't cry at the first story or happiest minute of the week."
