SCOTS Lesley Paterson and Charlotte Wells found success at this year's Baftas.
Paterson, a former triathlete, picked up the Best Adapted Screenplay award for her work on All Quiet On The Western Front, a film sixteen years in the making.
Wells meanwhile won for Best Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer for her film Aftersun.
It was a successful night all round for Paterson’s film which picked up a remarkable seven awards including Best Picture and Best Director.
She posted an image showing her celebrating on her social media late on Sunday evening with the caption: “Past my bedtime but I’ll let it slide!”
Paterson, originally from Stirling, has also been nominated for the Oscar for Best Adapted screenplay and will discover if she’s picked up that award on Sunday February 26.
Broughty Ferry-based Irish actor Barry Keoghan was also awarded for his role in Martin McDonagh's new film The Banshees of Inisherin.
Meanwhile, Aftersun’s lead Paul Mescal has picked up a Best Leading Actor nomination for his role in Wells’s film.
The Edinburgh-born writer and director thanked her late father during last night’s awards.
“I read online that somebody described this film as a eulogy and I suppose it is of sorts, a eulogy to my dad. By definition he’s not here, but mum is and she always has been. So this is for you”, she said.

Aftersun focuses on a Scottish woman reflecting on a holiday she took with her father in Turkey when she was a young girl.
The filmmaker also spoke about the earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria.
“A special thank you to our Turkish crew. Most of our crew was Turkish. I don’t think anybody in that country has been untouched by the earthquake that has affected so much of Turkey and Syria.”
Other winners on the night included Austin Butler who won Best Leading Actor for Elvis and Australian Cate Blanchett, who won Best Leading Actress for Tár.
Two of the stars of The Banshees of Inisherin – Keoghan and Kerry Condon – also picked up awards for their performances.
