A drunk who battered his way into a mixed martial arts venue demanding to be a cage fighter has been jailed.
James Crossley, 33, was spotted by a worker at the venue, Alloa Town Hall, who heard "a loud bang" coming from the main auditorium while the venue was closed, Alloa Sheriff Court was told.
Seeing the staff member, Crossley said: "I want to be a cage fighter Is this where I do the cage fighting?"
Prosecutor Catherine Fraser said: "The member of staff observed the accused to be under the influence of alcohol, and he had a fresh injury to his hand, which was bleeding."
Crossley was challenged, and said he had entered through a door lying open.
In the main hall, however, the glass had been smashed to the fire escape window and a brick was lying nearby.
Crossley was escorted out, and police were called.
CCTV was checked and Crossley could be seen battering the window with a metal barrier and then throwing the brick at it repeatedly until it smashed.
The incident happened about 4.30 pm on September 4th 2021.
Alloa Town Hall frequently hosts Ultra MMA black tie events.
Crossley, of Alloa, who appeared by video link from Low Moss Prison, pleaded guilty to breaking in, with intent, and while on bail.
Solicitor Alastair Ross, defending, said Crossley had been "very much under the influence of alcohol".
He added: "He was struggling with his personal situation."
Sheriff Neil Bowie said it was "a significant aggravation" that the offence was committed while on bail.
He jailed Crossley for five months.
