Scots Dancing on Ice contestant Connor Ball gets stitches after slicing leg open

Scots Dancing on Ice contestant Connor Ball left fans worried after he needed stitches following a fall during Sunday evening's show.

The Vamps star, who was born in Aberdeen to Scottish mum Kelly, was performing on props week on the hit ITV spectacle.

Following the onscreen accident the 25-year-old musician told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that he was bleeding.

And he later revealed on social media that he needed to get emergency treatment for the wound after a blade sliced his leg open.

He posted: "Guys I'm okay, currently getting my leg stitched up but thank you so so so much for voting me through once again, you guys are actually incredible i’m too lucky honestly."

Fans were concerned that Connor, who had earlier this month cut his chin ahead of the show after smashing his face on the ice, was ok.

One said: "When we said break a leg this isn’t what we were thinking of."

Another added: "Thank god you are ok was really worried could see the colour go in your face and it looked so painful."

Another quipped: "Think you are definitely leading the stitches count on this year's show !! In all seriousness, well done for the skate and carrying on after the injury #dancingonice."

Connor and partner Alexandra Schauman still scored 34 and progressed to next week's show while Corrie star Sally Dynevor got sent home.

It isn’t just The Vamps singer who has been in the wars, his Dancing on Ice partner Alexandra Schauman needed treatment after slicing her finger open on the blade of her boot.

Connor is no stranger to a tumble having admitted his “life flashed before his eyes” when in 2014 he famously fell off stage while opening for Taylor Swift at London’s O2.
