Scots dad shares mangled wreck of car after horror crash near Largs

A Scots dad has shared images of what was left of the mangled wreck of his car, after a two vehicle crash near Largs on Saturday night.

Shocking images show the car badly damaged following the crash on the A78 at 11.35pm. Images from the scene show the rear end of the red motor completely destroyed following the collision.

Two people, a man and a woman, from the car were taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital to be checked over. Four men in the other car were checked by medical staff at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.

One woman is the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with the terrifying incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 11.35pm on Saturday, 20 August, we were called to a report of a two-car crash on the A78, on the outskirts of Largs.

“Two people, a man and a woman, from one car were taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital to be checked over. Four men in the other car were checked by medical staff at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.

“Traffic lights are in place due to barrier damage. One woman is the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with the incident.”
