Scots council worker stunned after mysterious object falls from sky near Glasgow

A Scots council worker was left stunned after spotting a mysterious object falling from the sky near Glasgow.

Vicky Young, 45, was standing outside her workplace in Coatbridge when she spotted the anomaly at around 8am on Wednesday February 1. Vicky, from Bellshill, quickly took out her phone to film what she believes might have been space debris.

The encounter has left Vicky in a state of shock and she is now desperate to find out what it was.

She told Glasgow Live: "I was scurrying in when I turned around and there’s the thing. I thought it was a plane or something and it might change direction.

"The more it fell I thought that’s not right. It was over a prolonged period of time but surely something that size would make an impact. I was shocked and stunned.

"I went into work and asked my boss to come and see the video and they stood in amusement just staring at it. We didn’t know what to do.

"It could be a meteorite or some sort of space debris. You don’t see things falling straight down from the sky every day. If anybody knows what it is then we’ll all be glad to know."
