Cops rushed down to disperse a crowd at a warehouse rave in Edinburgh to break up the party - despite later admitting that no crime had been committed.
Edinburgh Live reports that a large police presence was called to the Biscuit Factory in Leith in the early hours of Sunday January 30 as the site hosted the Central EH1 festival.
Billed as a "marathon 13 hour party" by organisers, the music event was originally due to be held near Waverley Station on the first Saturday after Covid restrictions on nightclubs were lifted.
However, last minute discussions with the British Transport Police and Edinburgh City Council saw it moved to the venue on Anderson Place.
The event kicked off at 1pm on Saturday and was scheduled to run through to 2am.
However, officers were called to the scene shortly after midnight following reports of a "disturbance."
After dispersing a large group on arrival, police confirmed there had been "no criminality."
The Central EH1 event was organised by promoters as a launch party for a new clubbing space in Scotland's capital, boasting a line-up of EDM DJs and artists to headline throughout the day.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said : "Officers attended a disturbance involving a large group at within a premises in Anderson Place in Edinburgh around 12.10am on Sunday, 30 January, 2022.
"The group dispersed on police arrival and there was no reports of any criminality."
