Tributes have been paid to a Fife police officer and mum who has died after battling a long illness.
Stephanie Fearns, of Glenrothes, passed away on May 17 after suffering from long-term health issues.
The woman has been described as a "fighter" and a "wonderful colleague" who did not let the great health difficulties she faced throughout her life get in the way of her "hard work and dedication" to the job.
Stephanie leaves behind two daughters, Courtney and Aimee.
She is also survived by her mum and dad, June and Billy and her brother, William.
Fife Police Division, where Stephanie served for more than a decade, shared the tragic news on Facebook today.
A statement added she will be "deeply missed" by family, friends and colleagues.
The force said: "Stephanie was a valued colleague whose hard work and dedication to her job was clear to all who knew her, despite the struggles that her long battle with illness brought her."
In the wake of Stephanie's passing, messages of condolence have flooded in from the local community.
Cath Coutts said: "A wonderful colleague. Thoughts with her girls. RIP."
Anna Turvey wrote: "She could brightened up anyone's day and will be sorely missed."
Bes Gemma commented: "So sad. She was a true fighter."
Arlene Irvine added: "So sad to read this. Was a pleasure looking after you Stephanie. Fly high."
Stephanie began her policing career in June 2009 working as a Crime Input Administrator.
She went on to spend the majority of her service in the Glenrothes Service Centre as a Service Centre Administrator.
Her heartbroken family have requested those attending her funeral wear something colourful in memory of the much-loved woman.
It will be held at 12.45pm on Thursday June 2 at Kirkcaldy Crematorium, Rosemount Avenue, Kirkcaldy.
A collection will also be held for Marie Curie at the crematorium.
