A Scottish cleaning influencer has shared her go-to Aldi product that can tackle five different areas in the home - and it costs less than one pound.
For most people, cleaning is an endless task that requires a cupboard full of single use products to complete different chores. For others, it's rather enjoyable and plenty of scrubbing enthusiasts like to share their tips and tricks to make cleaning easier.
Kayleigh Tenant regularly shares innovative cleaning knowledge with her two million strong TikTok followers. In one of her many viewed videos, she recently revealed that Aldi's Powerforce 4 in 1 Disinfectant can be used on toilets, shelves, bins, dusty blinds and even walls.
Kayleigh’s handy hack shows how to halve the time it takes to clean blinds, while also making walls look stain free in a matter of minutes. Meanwhile, she completely refreshes the look and smell of both her bins and toilet and creates eco-friendly DIY disinfectant wipes.
The bargain retailer's cleaner costs 89p for a 250ml bottle and comes in three fresh scents including Linen, Pink Grapefruit and Lavender. In a viral clip on her TikTok profile @cleanwith_kayleigh, followers praised her "amazing" cleaning hacks, with some calling them "lifechanging".
Shoppers can clean both sides of blind slats in one swipe by dampening two cloths with a diluted solution of the disinfectant. Then, by wrapping them around a pair of tongs, you can make your blinds look spotless without cleaning each slat individually.
Kayleigh's savvy eco wipes eliminate the need for single use anti-bacterial wipes. Simply fill a jar with a mixture of the disinfectant and water, then submerge some fabric clothes, until they are fully absorbed with the cleaner. Once ready, simply take a wipe to clean shelves, tables and other surfaces, then put it in the washing pile to be used again.
Next, the Scots cleaner uses the linen scented disinfectant to make her bins look and smell clean and fresh. After cleaning the outside and inside of the containers with a diluted disinfectant spray, Kayleigh pours some pure disinfectant on to some paper towels, then simply drops them in the bins.
Thanks to the long-lasting freshness of the disinfectant, the bin will continue to give a whiff of clean scent each time its opened.
It's well known that diluted disinfectant works well for cleaning the floors, but this hack uses the same method with a mop and disinfectant to freshen up walls. Like with floors, you can use a mop to clean these higher areas to banish scuff marks and stains.
Aldi's disinfectant also cleans the entire toilet as Kayleigh wipes down its outside using the spray and some kitchen roll before throwing a capful of concentrated product into the bowl. Finally, she places her toilet brush in to the bowl with the disinfectant - making it clean and fresh.
