A Scots cleaner has been hailed a "diamond" for his honesty - after handing in an expensive wallet packed with cash.
The Louis Vuitton moneybook had been left on an Avanti West Coast train by a rugby fan heading from Stafford to Edinburgh for Scotland's Six Nations clash at Murrayfield on Saturday.
The blue wallet was stuff full of £20 notes, along with two bank cards, and had been misplaced in the first class carriage.
Glasgow Live reports it was discovered by Daniel Lindsay, a cleaner for Alstom, and handed into the Polmadie depot in Glasgow "with every penny in it".
His honest actions came to light after a friend of the rugby fan took to Twitter to try and find Daniel and thank him.
The tweet, from Ross Hendry, read: "Please RT to find! If anyone knows a Daniel Lindsay who is a cleaner for Alstom in Glasgow, please get in touch.
"Mate of mine from Stafford was in Edinburgh for the rugby, lost his wallet with the weekend's money in it, was later handed in when found with every penny in it."
The post, which included a picture of the wallet stuffed with cash and the lost property form completed by Daniel, has racked up almost 1,700 likes and around 800 retweets.
Users were quick to praise Daniel's actions in the comments, with the cleaner being hailed as a "top man" and a "legend".
David Anderson replied: "Hope you locate Daniel. Honesty like that deserves a wee reward."
Another user added: "Good lad. His folks should be proud because that looks like more than a weeks wages so he's had a good upbringing."
A third person commented: "Your mate was very lucky, proves there are some very honest people out there. Daniel Lindsay legend."
Ged Cairns said: "Top man handing that in."
And another user summed it up brilliantly, adding: "Honest folk are such diamonds. Nothing worse than losing personal property never mind money that you've earned to go somewhere special.
"Well done Daniel."
