A twisted pair of brothers who abducted a Scots grandad from his home, savagely beat him and forced him to ingest diesel before he died have been jailed.
Evil Michael Smith, 31, and younger sibling Daniel, 22, have both been found guilty of killing Colin MacDonald after abducting him from his Airdrie home.
The sick duo left their 59-year-old victim with broken bones and other significant injuries before dumping him outside a friend’s home in Greengairs.

He was rushed to Monklands Hospital after being discovered critically injured but tragically succumbed to his injuries the following day on August 20, 2019.
Detectives from Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team launched a massive probe to find the people responsible for the heinous crime.
Michael was arrested by officers in October of that year while Daniel was snared in December.
Both men were convicted at Glasgow High Court on Friday with Police Scotland hailing Colin’s family for their bravery and strength.
Detective Superintendent Alan Sommerville said: “Colin’s family, throughout this whole time, has shown courage, strength and resilience.
“His children have to live the rest of their lives without the love and support of their father. Nothing will ever bring their father back but I hope these convictions offer them some sort of comfort knowing justice has been done.
“The level of callous and calculated brutality used in the commission of this crime was abhorrent and it is right that these two men have been held to account for this horrendous crime.
“The community is undoubtedly now safer without them in it.”
Both men will be sentenced at a later date.
