Scots have been left baffled after an Aberdeen local was spotted skiing down a street in the city centre.
A barrage of snow fell across the north-east of Scotland yesterday, blanketing Aberdeen in snow. More is forecast today, with a yellow weather warning for snow and ice in place until Friday.
With major disruption to roads, one Aberdonian took it upon themselves to make the most of the snowy weather and head out with skis. In a "hilarious" photo shared by Fubar News, they can be seen walking down Union Street in the centre of the city.
Equipped with ski poles and a backpack, the local appears to be handling the sudden wintry weather with ease. After the image was shared to Facebook, many others were quick to agree.
Since being posted on Tuesday morning, the photo has received over 1,600 likes. It has also been commented on almost 400 times, with many Scots keen to share their thoughts on the unusual sight.
One wrote: "Ingenious! At least he's getting where he's going unlike all the motorists."
A second agreed: "Seen this when staying in Norway. Pretty clever"
"He'd do anything for a Greggs, fair play," joked a third, while a fourth said: "That's hilarious."
Meanwhile, a fifth posted: "At least he's not stuck in the traffic."
