ScotRail and Network Rail have issued an update for passengers hoping to catch a train on Monday, November 7.
Train customers had prepared themselves for major disruption as three days of strike action was set to take place. Hours before staff were expected to walk out, the Union for Rail, Maritime and Transport announced the industrial action was suspended.
However, due to the short notice, weekend trains continued to be disrupted and a skeleton service was still put in place - And customers won't have much better luck today.

Taking to social media on Sunday night, Network Rail warned that it was not possible to get a full timetable up and running in time. They said: "We are working hard alongside @ScotRail and our other train operators to reintroduce services as fast as we can for passengers, but a full service on Monday will unfortunately not be possible.
"While RMT postponing the strike is positive, the decision came just hours before industrial action was due to begin, making it very difficult to reintroduce a full service in time for Monday."
ScotRail have urged passengers on their website: "We encourage anyone planning to travel by rail over the coming days to check their journey before travel as disruption is likely."
The services running on Monday November 7 are as followed;
- Edinburgh – Glasgow via Falkirk High: two trains per hour
- Edinburgh – Helensburgh: two trains per hour
- Glasgow – Hamilton/Larkhall: two trains per hour
- Glasgow – Lanark: two trains per hour
- Edinburgh – Glasgow via Shotts: one train per hour
- Edinburgh – Cowdenbeath: two trains per hour
- Edinburgh - North Berwick: one train per hour
- Edinburgh – Tweedbank: two trains per hour
- Edinburgh - Larbert: one train per hour
- Glasgow Queen St – Larbert: one train per hour
- Glasgow Queen St – Falkirk Grahamston: one train per hour
- Milngavie – Springburn: two trains per hour
There will also be services running to and from;
- Carlisle - Dumfries
- Ayr - Stranraer
- Inverness - Wick
- Inverness - Kyle of Lochalsh
- Inverness - Perth
- Aberdeen - Edinburgh
- Edinburgh - Perth
- Glasgow Queen Street - Oban / Mallaig

Thousands of staff were expected to strike on November 5, 7, 9, with disruption and cancellation set for the days surrounding. This comes following a lengthy dispute between RMT and Network Rail over pay and working conditions. While the strike was suspended, due to the short notice, the ScotRail revised timetable continued.
David Simpson, ScotRail’s service delivery director, said he welcomed the announcement the RMT had called off their strike.
He said: “Strike action does nothing for the railway’s recovery or reputation at this fragile time. It impacts customers, staff, and the economy."
The disruption caused by potential strike action by the RMT is part of the union’s battle with National Rail for better pay and conditions for its workers, and involved signalling workers as well as staff at 14 train companies across the UK.
Mick Lynch, the union’s general secretary, said: “The threat of strike action and our strongly supported industrial campaign has made the rail employers see sense.
“We have always wanted to secure a negotiated settlement and that is what we will continue to push for in this next phase of intensive talks.
“Our priority is our members, and we are working towards securing a deal on job security, a decent pay rise and good working conditions.”
The RMT is continuing its re-ballot of members to secure a fresh mandate for action with the result due on November 15. But ScotRail customers could face more travel chaos, with the union threatening to walk out every Friday and Saturday in the run-up to Christmas as part of a separate dispute with ScotRail.
