Fed-up members of the Scotland Women squad have called on the SFA to act on the limited number of tickets currently available for their Hampden clash with Spain.
Interest in women's football is growing domestically and abroad with the women's team now playing their home games at the national stadium.
Their clash with Hungary in October drew a crowd of 6,445 smashed the record for a competitive Scotland Women's match after a World Cup send-off friendly in 2019 attracted 17,555.
Abroad, Barcelona Women recently sold out Camp Nou for their derby with Real Madrid and set a global record with over 91,000 in attendance.
Many of their stars travel to Hampden next week as Scotland take on Spain looking to take a major step towards next year's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
But Spanish players accustomed to larger crowds may be disappointed as only a tiny fraction of the stadium was made available to fans.
Only six sections - P1-3 and L4-6 - have been made available and all are close to being sold out, as per the SFA ticket website.
But, with just a week until the big game, they are yet to announce if more of the stadium will be available should the remaining tickets be snapped up.
A statement shared by captain Rachel Corsie, Caroline Weir, Erin Cuthbert, Clare Emslie and the rest of the women's team has asked the governing body to do better and help them promote the women's game.
It reads: "Following record attendances at recent women’s football matches, the SFA have only opened a fraction of a 50,000+ capacity Hampden Park.
"How are we expected to grow the game when only limited tickets are available for our supporters?
"Come on @ScotlandNT we can do better."
Scotland face Spain on Tuesday, 12 April and can cut the gap on the undefeated Spaniards to two points at the top.
However that would take a heroic performance as the group leaders have won every game so far and are yet to concede a goal.
Scotland are currently second in the group ahead of Hungary and Ukraine, whose remaining games have been postponed.
