THE Met Office has extended a yellow weather warning for rain for parts of the West of Scotland.
The national weather service has put in place the warning across the entirety of Saturday September 3.
They say there is chance for almost four inches of rain to fall across Saturday, potentially accompanied by thunderstorms.
What to expect from the yellow rain warning
There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life
Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services
Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
There is a small chance that some communities will become cut off by flooded roads
There is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses

East Ayrshire
Inverclyde
North Ayrshire
Renfrewshire
South Ayrshire
Initially the yellow warning had only covered parts of Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway, but has now been extended across more of Scotland.
