THE Scottish FA will be releasing a "limited number" of tickets for an upcoming friendly against England.
The sides will celebrate 150 years of football rivalry when they meet at Hampden Park on September 12 in an event that will commemorate their first encounter at Hamilton Crescent in November 1872, recognised by Fifa as the inaugural international match.
The 150th Anniversary Heritage Match will be the 116th meeting between the two teams, the last of which during the Euro 2020 finals resulted in a 0-0 Group D draw at Wembley on June 18 2020, the same result as in the very first encounter.
Now, the Scottish FA have announced that new tickets will be released on August 25 for “always sticking by us”.

On the Scotland national team’s official Twitter page, they tweeted: “For always sticking by us.
“A limited number of tickets for our 150th Anniversary Heritage Match will go on sale at 10am on Friday, 25 August, and be made exclusively available to supporters who bought tickets for June's win against Georgia.”
They added: “Tickets will be available via tickets.scottishfa.co.uk.
“If you did not purchase the Georgia match via the Home Match Package or as a single match, you will not be eligible for this sale.
“Eligible supporters can buy up to 6 tickets, inclusive of previous purchases for this match.”
When the fixture was first announced, Scotland boss Steve Clarke said: “This fixture is enshrined in world football’s history – the first-ever international football match – and I will be proud to lead our team out at Hampden as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of our national game.
“This next chapter of the oldest rivalry in football will be a special occasion for our players and fans, especially after the recent experience at Wembley during UEFA Euro 2020.
“We have an exciting UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying campaign ahead of us next year, along with promotion to UEFA Nations League Group A, and I’m sure playing England at Hampden Park will be a welcome addition to our programme of fixtures.”
