Scotland's most exciting garden centre launches in Lanarkshire and has been backed by TV star, Anna Campbell-Jones a judge on TVs Scotland's Home of the year.

Homegrown garden centre, located in Gartcosh, was opened last weekend by Glasgow based couple Martin and Stephanie McCarron and received widespread backing of the local community.

The garden centre is open 7-days a week and will offer a carefully curated selection of plants, pots and everything that people need for their ideal indoor or outdoor space.

Speaking at the opening Campbell-Jones commented, “I was so, so excited and honoured to be invited to open homegrown on 15th April, an independent design-led garden centre bursting with beautiful products.

"You can spend a whole day there shopping or just stop in for lunch and treats at the instore coffee house, which has a wide range of locally sourced ingredients with veggie and vegan options galore.

"This is a new kind of garden centre, one that brings together the twin joys of interior design and beautiful plants."

The community open day saw people from surrounding areas across Lanarkshire and Glasgow arrive in huge numbers to explore the diverse range of plants, gardening and homeware essentials on offer in store, all whilst enjoying the range of family entertainment provided as part of the celebrations including face painting, inflatables and a music from Clyde 1 DJ, Callum Gallacher.

Commenting on the community open day, Owner of homegrown, Martin McCarron said, “The open day was a huge success and it was a real joy to see an event like this bring the local community together.

"We were delighted and privileged to have Anna Campbell support the grand opening as she represents style and design at its best, and this is what homegrown represents. She really felt like the perfect person to do the honour of cutting the ribbon”
