Scotland players forced to amend pre-Hungary plans after Tartan Army invade Stuttgart

Scotland's plans ahead of tonight's seismic Euro 2024 clash with Hungary have had to be altered.

The national team players would normally go for a stroll around the local area in the afternoon prior to a game - however they've instead opted to remain inside their hotel due to the large Tartan Army contingent mulling around outside.

Sky Sports have displayed footage which shows hundreds of eager fans bustling to get a glimpse of their heroes before they head on the bus towards the Stuttgart Arena.

Police were initially not allowing any supporters within the building but latterly decided to let a few young foot soldiers have the opportunity for pictures.

Scotland have never reached the knockout stage at a European Championships, although that can all change with a positive result against in the final Group A match against Hungary.

Boss Steve Clarke reckons they have learned lessons from previous heartbreaks but wants them to prove that's the case this evening.

"We feel good," he explained.

"We thought it might come down to needing to get something from the last game. That's the stage we are at now.

"We've been in this position before. Hopefully, when we get to the last game, the proof of the pudding will be in the eating. That's what we are aiming for."
