Scotland are lining up a friendly clash with Poland should their World Cup playoff with Ukraine be postponed.
The Ukrainian FA have asked for their visit to Hampden on 24 March to be pushed back with football taking a back seat amid the ongoing Russian invasion.
Several members of the Ukraine team have signed up for the military amid the ongoing crisis.
That comes while males aged between 18-60 currently in the country, currently under martial law, are not permitted to leave the war-torn nation.
With the game in major doubt for the Scottish FA, The Daily Mail report that a backup plan is emerging with the Polish FA.
Poland had been set to play Russia in their own before FIFA suspended the club from it's competitions.
It could keep the Scotland star's ticking over until the bid to reach Qatar is back underway.
The World Cup draw is scheduled to take place on April 1, with the tournament in starting on November 21.
A FIFA statement on the playoff read: "FIFA remains in regular contact with UEFA and the Scottish Football Association to find an appropriate solution and expresses its deepest solidarity to everybody affected by what is happening in Ukraine.
"A further update will be provided in due course."
