George Hirst, the Ipswich Town striker who has recently committed to representing Scotland, has continued to make headlines.
The 26-year-old netted during a six-goal thriller at Portman Road, although his header couldn't prevent his team from being on the losing side against Nottingham Forest.
Hirst was introduced to the action on 80 minutes with Ipswich 4-0 down.
And the forward, who Scotland boss Steve Clarke still hopes to have in his squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League play-off clashes against Greece, played an influential role in a late fightback attempt from the hosts.
He had a 100 per cent pass success rate (4/4) and also found the back in stoppage time to reduce the deficit, showcasing his growing influence in England’s top flight.
Despite Ipswich’s 4-2 home loss to Nottingham Forest, Hirst’s second goal in less than a fortnight further solidified his credentials as a player ready to step onto the international stage.

Hirst’s recent form has been a bright spot in an otherwise challenging English Premier League season for Ipswich.
His physical presence, aerial ability, and eye for taking on a shot make him a versatile option for Clarke’s Scotland side, which is looking to add depth to its attacking ranks.
With the Nations League play-offs on the horizon, Hirst’s inclusion could provide a much-needed boost to Scotland’s chances of remaining in Section A.
