Scotland will travel to face Turkey in a November friendly in preparation for next year's Euro 2024 qualifying campaign - and fans can bag a ticket for just £2. Steve Clarke 's men will play the Turks for the first time in 62 years and it will be a first-ever international match played in the Kurdish stronghold city of Diyarbakir.
It took the Turkish FA until just over a week before the game to confirm the allocation and ticket prices for the travelling Tartan Army for the friendly next Wednesday. But the good news for the visiting fans is that they will fork out just £2 for a brief.
The Turks have handed the SFA an allocation of 1,250 tickets for the game at the 33,000-capacity Diyarbakir Stadium, which was only opened four years ago. Local tourist officials have reported all hotel rooms in the southern city are fully booked with the city expecting a sell-out for the encounter.
Clarke will begin his preparations for a new campaign with some fresh twists added to familiar problems. Rangers ' Ryan Jack is still sidelined, with only Southampton's Stuart Armstrong, Bologna's Lewis Ferguson, Norwich City's Kenny McLean and Luton Town's Allan Campbell are earning regular club starts among the central midfielders included in recent squads.
John McGinn has made his past three Aston Villa appearances from the bench and Scott McTominay his past eight with Manchester United. David Turnbull made his first Celtic stdart since September on Saturday but neither he nor Callum McGregor will be available to face Turkey after Ange Postecoglou ruled out releasing his stars for the friendly. Meanwhile Billy Gilmour has played a grand total of 13 minutes across four games since joining Brighton.
