The Tartan Army have received the big dates for their calendar ahead of a massive Euro 2024 campaign as Steve Clarke looks to reach the tournament in Germany.
Scotland going into Pot 2 for the Euros in Germany in two years time meant they were supposed to get an easier route to Euro 2024, but that didn't prove to be the case when Spain, Norway, Georgia and Cyprus came out the hat as their Group A rivals.
Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland is the in-form striker in world football at this moment, and a clash against the former European and World champions will prove to be a major test for Clarke's men. However, it does mean some blockbuster ties for Scotland fans to pencil into their calendars, and the SFA have revealed the fixture list will start with the visit of Cyprus on March 25 and close with a showdown with Norway on November 1, 2023.
Scotland head coach Clarke said: “It’s going to be competitive. There are five good teams, and hopefully, we can be the best. To continue that improvement we need to qualify for Euro 2024: that’s the aim.”
