A Glasgow television legend has revealed she would love to participate in BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, if the opportunity ever came.
Julie Wilson Nimmo, best known for her role as popular nursery teacher Miss Hoolie in Balamory and DC Megan Squire in Scot Squad, has revealed she would love to do Strictly Come Dancing. Co-presenting the breakfast show with Ewen Cameron on Clyde 1, Julie was asked if she would ever do Strictly.
The actress, who lives in Glasgow, said: “Are you kidding? I would absolutely love to do Strictly. It would be really good, as long as I got a nice partner."

Ewen also asked if her fellow actor husband Greg Hemphill, who is known for shows such as popular comedy Still Game, would do Strictly or any other reality TV show. Julie said: “I would absolutely pay a million pounds to see Greg. I don’t think he would do any, I’ve watched them with him, and the chat he comes out with. There’s no chance."
And Ewen mentioned the Strictly curse - where celebrities end up splitting from their partners after going on the show - and asked if Greg would be worried about that. Julie laughed and said "Oh, no!"
During the show, she also confirmed that popular BBC show Scot Squad is set to return, with filming starting next year. Earlier this year, Julie appeared on This Morning to celebrate Balamory’s 20th anniversary, and claimed she used to get ‘mobbed by toddlers’.
Julie said at the time: "It wasn’t so much that they’d spot me, it was when I shouted on my own kids that they’d recognise my voice,” she laughs. “It was fine. Not so great when I was yelling at them in IKEA, right enough, but fine."
