'Scorned' Leeds woman chucks 'cheating' boyfriend's clothes in swimming pool - but he thought he was single

An enraged woman from Leeds has gone viral after she was filmed launching her “cheating boyfriend’s” clothes into their hotel swimming pool.

Grace Mclean claims a mystery party girl contacted her saying she slept with Matt, whose name has been changed, while he was away on an Ibiza lads' holiday last month. But he thought he was single during the trip - even changing his Facebook relationship status.

This was just days after Grace from Roundhay believed they had become an official pair.

Enraged, the "scorned" 22-year-old threw his clothes, shoes and Apple Airpods into the pool when she found out the following week as they were in Hurghada, Egypt.

However, Matt says they had split up when he went to Ibiza as he had only changed his Facebook status to 'in a relationship' for 'one day' before switching it back to 'single' after an argument.

The shocking viral footage from May 10 shows her drag Matt's luggage from the suitcase and launch items into the water.

Swimming instructor Grace says she's proud she stuck up for herself and made it through the 'worst week of her life' so she could return home and never see him again.

"I was so fuming,” she said. “I just wanted him to be annoyed and I knew that if I threw all his clothes in the pool it would annoy him.

"I was so determined to do it. After I'd spoken to that girl, the conversation kept going through my head.

"I stormed up to his room, packed all his stuff into a suitcase. I shoved his AirPods in, his charger, all his toiletries and shoes. I thought 'he's not going to make a fool of me and get away with it'.

"I got the hotel reception to take me on a golf buggy to the pool, then I walked to the other side of the pool to where Matt was sunbathing and then chucked everything in.

"I didn't throw the whole suitcase in because I thought it might not float and then his clothes would have been dry, so I pulled everything out and threw it in bit by bit.

"I made sure I did a good job of it. He was laughing about it. He thought it was really funny and was calling me all sorts of names. I was scared he was going to run around the pool and launch me in.

"I wasn't bothered about the consequences. I was happy to move to a hotel anyway because I just wanted to get away from him.

"When I was throwing all the stuff in, I was telling him 'this is what you get for sleeping with people in Ibiza and then lying about it'.

"I'm proud that I did it. I have no regrets because he deserved it."

Grace and Matt's met at a holiday camp in February. His advances and multiple dates earned her trust.

She also claims he was constantly texting her through the beginning of his lads' holiday but an argument over her going out in Leeds meant they'd fallen out for half of it.

He had booked the Egypt holiday for the pair to go on when he returned but wasn't planning to go because of the tiff until he changed his mind hours before the flight on May 7.

Grace enjoyed the first days of the holiday until his friend’s partner told her she had heard Matt had cheated in Ibiza.

She claims she didn't have proof but the next day she was called by a girl who claims to have slept with Matt on his lads' holiday.

She erupted and threw his belongings in the pool less than 20 minutes later as their stunned pals filmed and watched on.

Grace said: "I was a bit scared to commit and I didn't really want a relationship beforehand but he'd built up my trust.

"I didn't believe it all at first. I didn't think he'd have done that. I didn't have evidence, so I didn't kick off at first.

"I avoided him all day, and then a friend messaged me on Facebook and told me she'd been messaged by a girl about Matt, then the girl called me.

"On the first day [of his lads' holiday] he was constantly on the phone telling me he cared about me, so at what point was he sly enough to sleep with another girl? I was so annoyed.

"The rest of the holiday was really awkward. He kept denying it and apologising, but I said as soon as we get back we're never speaking again.

"We agreed to be civil but we weren't very civil really. Usually you can get away from someone, but I was stuck with him. It was the worst week of my life.

"I had to pretend everything was okay on my holiday but it wasn't. I felt really lonely and it ruined my holiday. I need another one after this.

"When I came home I felt so rubbish. I don't feel like I deserved that because I didn't do anything wrong.

"He's [not a young lad], so you'd think he'd grown up a bit. He's been so immature."

Clips of the pool incident have been seen more than half a million times and despite the 22-year-old claiming she's now 'the laughing stock of Leeds', one user said: "Laughing stock? More like a legend, queen!!!"

Another said: "You did nothing wrong!! Hold them accountable for their actions!!! A true girl boss."

A third added: "No girl, the joke was on him. Straighten your crown."

Matt did not comment on whether he slept with anyone in Ibiza but claims he was single while he was there.

Matt said: "The day I got to Ibiza there was no relationship and I was single. I didn’t even want to go to Egypt but she said come as friends.

"It was on Facebook one day [the relationship status] then off when I was in Ibiza.

"We went into a relationship on Facebook and it was only on for one day, as we had an argument about something, then I took it off Facebook, and it was over and done with.

"I didn't really speak to her when I was in Ibiza, then I came [home and] I told her I wasn't going to Egypt anymore, then the morning we were going she said 'let's just go as friends'. so that's what we did.

"Then she got a message off someone saying whatever it did, then that's when she emptied my suitcase into the swimming pool."

Grace says the remainder of the holiday was 'awkward' and she slept in her pal's room until they flew back on Saturday (May 14) when she cut all contact with her now-ex.

Grace says Matt left half his clothes in her suitcase and that she'll burn them this weekend as she's having a barbeque.

The experience has put her off a relationship for a while and she's looking forward to being single and spending time with her friends.
