Scientist who worked for US-funded Wuhan lab makes terrifying claims about Covid's origin

A scientist has claimed to know how the Covid-19 virus originated, and has made some major claims over who knew about it.

Andrew Huff worked at a controversial research lab in China and claims that Covid was a man-made virus that was leaked from the Wuhan facility.

Huff worked for a New York-based non-profit that studies viruses and said Covid was specifically leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China - which was known to be the epicentre of the virus.

The leak allegedly occurred two-plus years ago and Huff blames authorities for the “biggest US intelligence failure since 9/11,” according to The Sun.

The lab has been under a microscope by investigators amid fierce debates about the origins of Covid, with both Chinese government officials and lab workers insisting that the virus was not leaked from the facility.

Huff, an epidemiologist, is releasing a book, entitled “The Truth About Wuhan,” in which he says that the pandemic was a result of the US government’s funding of coronaviruses in China.

He claims that China’s gain-of-function experiments were conducted with little security, which ultimately led to a leak at the Wuhan lab.

In an exclusive excerpt from his book published in the newspaper, Huff said: “Foreign laboratories did not have the adequate control measures in place for ensuring proper biosafety, biosecurity, and risk management, ultimately resulting in the lab leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”

Meanwhile, some experts believe that the virus could have escaped through an infected scientist or through the improper disposal of waste from the facility in Wuhan. However, none of these claims have been proven as fact with evidence at this point.

Huff, who worked with the EcoHealth Alliance - a New York-based non-profit that studies infectious diseases - from 2014 to 2016, said that the non-profit helped the Wuhan lab put together the “best existing methods to engineer bat coronaviruses to attack other species” for many years.

“China knew from day one that this was a genetically engineered agent,” Huff said.

“The US government is to blame for the transfer of dangerous biotechnology to the Chinese.

“I was terrified by what I saw,” the army veteran from Michigan said. “We were just handing them bioweapon technology.”
