Science Saru Unveils Trailer And Key Visual For Dandadan Anime

Science Saru teases 'Dandadan' anime with dynamic action sequences in new trailer.

Science Saru, the renowned studio behind the recent anime hit 'Scott Pilgrim Takes Off,' has generated excitement among fans with the release of a new trailer and key visual for the upcoming anime adaptation of the popular Shonen Jump + title 'Dandadan,' set to premiere in October 2024.

The trailer showcases Science Saru's distinctive animation style and expertise in crafting dynamic action sequences, offering a glimpse into the thrilling moments from the manga's Turbo-Granny arc. This sneak peek has left fans eagerly anticipating the series' debut in the Fall 2024 Anime Season.

'Dandadan,' based on the manga of the same name, introduces a unique twist to the supernatural shonen genre. Created by Yukinobu Tatsu, known for his work as an assistant under Tatsuki Fujimoto of 'Chainsaw Man,' the series follows the story of Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura. Momo, a believer in ghosts but not aliens, and Ken, who holds the opposite belief, find themselves entangled in a supernatural bet that leads to unexpected consequences.

The series delves into the duo's adventures as they navigate a world filled with ghosts, aliens, and curses, striving to restore normalcy to their lives. With its engaging premise and unconventional approach, 'Dandadan' has quickly become a standout title on the Shonen Jump + platform.

Excitement for the anime adaptation has been further fueled by the announcement of key staff members. Fuga Yamashiro, known for his work on 'INU-OH' and 'Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!,' will serve as the director, while Hiroshi Seko, acclaimed for his contributions to 'Attack on Titan' and 'Jujutsu Kaisen,' will handle series composition and scriptwriting. The original soundtrack for 'Dandadan' will be composed by Kensuke Ushio, renowned for his work on 'Chainsaw Man' and 'Devilman Crybaby.'

'Dandadan' is scheduled to premiere in October 2024 as part of the Fall anime season, with streaming available on Crunchyroll and Netflix. Fans eager to delve into the series can catch up on the manga through Viz Media and Shonen Jump ahead of the anime's release.
