Schumer And Jeffries Expected To Endorse Harris Today

Kamala Harris looks happy.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries have commended Vice President Kamala Harris for her efforts in pursuing the presidential nomination. While they have not officially endorsed her yet, they expressed their support for her grassroots and transparent approach in line with the Democratic National Committee's guidelines.

In a joint statement, Schumer and Jeffries highlighted Harris's growing support among grassroots delegates across the country. They stated, 'Vice President Kamala Harris is off to a great start with her promise to pursue the presidential nomination in a manner consistent with the grassroots and transparent process set forth by the Democratic National Committee. She is rapidly picking up support from grassroots delegates from one end of the country to the other.'

The two leaders also mentioned their upcoming meeting with Vice President Harris, expressing their anticipation for working together to unite the Democratic Party and the nation. While they did not explicitly endorse Harris in the statement, multiple sources have indicated that Schumer and Jeffries are likely to endorse her imminently.

During a news conference earlier in the day, Jeffries expressed his excitement about the upcoming meeting with Harris, hinting at a positive outcome. The endorsement, if confirmed, could further bolster Harris's campaign and solidify her position as a frontrunner in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.
