Schoolgirl who lured Olly Stephens, 13, to his death boasted 'I'm so excited' in sick voice note

A 14-year-old schoolgirl who lured Olly Stephens to his death boasted to friends "I’m so excited, you don’t understand" before carrying out the sickening crime.

The vile voice note sent by the teen was revealed on BBC Panorama last night. She was recruited by two boys who stabbed 13-year-old Olly to death at Bugs Bottom field behind his home in Emmer Green, Reading, in January 2021.

His killers had discussed their planned attack on Snapchat in the days leading up to the murder, Birmingham Live reports.

The schoolgirl said in one message: "By the way, I’m setting up Olly tomorrow." She then added: "[One of the boys] just wants me to set up so then he’s going to go and bang him and pattern him and s***.

“I’m so excited, you don’t understand.”

In one menacing warning, one of the boys tells Olly: “You’ve got poison in your heart fam. Olly you're going to die tomorrow.”

Dad Stuart told Panorama: “They hunted him, tracked him and executed him through social media.

"Social media is not guilty of the murder, but it did nothing to protect him. Without it he’d still be here.”

Stuart said: “I just held his hand and asked him not to leave me.” He added: “I still look for his feet in the morning at the end of the bed because they would hang over the end.”
