A person has been hospitalised after a crash along a busy Carmarthenshire road this morning. A white school bus and a blue Citroen C4 car were involved in a collision along the A484 Burry Port to Pwll Road. The school bus was carrying five pupils - and crashed into an electricity pole, police said.
Dyfed-Powys Police are investigating the incident which took place at 7.45am and resulted in the closure of the road and significant delays for motorists. Officers have asked anyone who may have information about the matter to come forward and assist them.

A police spokesman said: "Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a two vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at about 7.45am this morning, Thursday, January 12, on the A484 Burry Port to Pwll Road. A blue Citroen C4 and a white school bus were involved in the collision. The bus also collided with an electric pole. The school bus was carrying five pupils, one of whom suffered a minor injury. One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
