Mick Potter might have cause to reconsider his coaching ambitions after Canterbury completed back-to-back NRL wins with a 36-12 victory over Wests Tigers.
Acting as Canterbury's interim coach, Potter has only been in the job for a month.
But has already been able to do what no one other Canterbury coach has achieved since 2019 - orchestrating successive wins for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs ran out to an early lead against Parramatta in their first win under Potter but their patience under pressure against the Tigers was just as impressive on Sunday.
They had the better of the ball and field position in the first half but had to be content with a 12-6 lead at halftime.
Unperturbed, Matt Burton continued to apply pressure with his kicking game, which is only getting better under Potter.
His combination with Josh Addo-Carr didn't bear the fruits it had in the previous fortnight but that didn't worry the Bulldogs, who found other outlets to attack.
Shifted to fullback by Potter, Jake Averillo scored a double to go with the two tries he bagged last week.
The game started as an arm-wrestle.
But when Jacob Kiraz and Kurtis Morrin scored at close range in the second half and Aaron Schoupp grabbed an intercept, it morphed into a demonstration of high-octane and attacking football that has defined Potter's short tenure at Belmore.
The Bulldogs have already scored 38 more points in Potter's five games in charge than they did in the first 10 games of the year and have now passed 30 points in back-to-back games for the first time since 2016.
Cameron Ciraldo and Paul Green have been linked to the Bulldogs' coaching job but the solution to their dilemma might already be in the kennel.
Potter previously said he would wait until "further down the line" to determine whether he'd want to coach on after this year but admitted winning games would make the decision easier.
The loss heaped more misery on the Tigers.
To make matters worse, the Tigers must now prepare for a stint without Alex Twal, who left the field in a medi-cab just 90 seconds into the game.
Twal was knocked unconscious attempting to tackle Burton, who appeared to apply pressure to Twal's neck as he fell to the turf.
Burton was neither penalised nor put on report.
Starford To'a also hobbled from the field late in the game with what appeared to be an ankle injury.
